PoliticsPTI to lock down Islamabad on November 2: Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Monday announced that they would shut down the Federal Capital on November 2, and also warned the government against any misadventure.

“We will begin shutting down Islamabad at 02:00 pm on November 2” the PTI Chief said while talking to media representative in Islamabad on Monday adding that the lock down date was changed due to the Supreme Court Bar Elections.

Imran Khan said that it is our right to hold a peaceful protest as it’s the beauty of democracy.

“We will remain peaceful, if the government practices the same,” he said.

The PTI Chief said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was caught red handed in corruption but later we also witnessed behavior of Parliament, its Speaker, TOR Committee, NAB and Election Commission. He said that it’s a tragedy that two separate laws exist in this country for powerful and poor people.

Imran Khan reiterated his demands that the prime minister had two options whether he resigns from his office or he presents himself for accountability. He said that we won’t call of our protest till our demands are fulfilled.

Imran further said that if the government puts him under house arrest, the former won’t be able to bear the reaction.

Earlier, the PTI Chairman Imran Khan presided over the session of senior leadership of PTI in which Asad Umar, Naeem ul Haq, Jahangir Tareen, Shireen Mazari, Aleem Khan and Ali Amin Gandapur participated.
