LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) has completed preparations for holding public meeting at Minar-e-Pakistan in Lahore on Saturday in which party Chairman Imran Khan will present his party’s election manifesto.

A large number of people including women and children have already gathered for the rally which after a delay will now begin at 5:00 PM.

Security arrangements have also been finalized for the rally with the Bomb Disposal Squad, Special Brach of the police and other secret agencies giving clearance.

As an added security measure, mobile phone services have been suspended at Minar-e-Pakistan and its adjoining areas till 9:00 PM.

The party is expecting a mammoth gathering of its followers on this important day in the history of the country.

PTI workers have been arriving since last night from various parts of the province including Faisalabad‚ Multan‚ Gujranwala‚ Sialkot‚ Rawalpindi/Islamabad and adjacent areas of the metropolis.

Two stages have been setup for the leadership and newly elected office bearers at the venue.

According to party’s media cell‚ an oath taking ceremony will also take place in which newly elected office bearers will be sworn in.

In the ground under the shadow of Minar-e-Pakistan‚ around sixty five thousand chairs are installed for participants of rally‚ but party claims that today’s show is even going to be larger than previous held at the same venue in October 2011.
