Shame on you Returning Officers. People who rig elections will remain a cheaters. Those who rig elections and come in parliament will never change the corrupt system. We need a new Pakistan and our journey was halted for a new Pakistan by those who rigged elections against us. ISI made IJI and Mian Nawaz Sharif was its leader. One media house is involved in propaganda against PTI. Mir Shakeelur Rehman owner of Geo an Jang is doing this propaganda. Intelligence agencies are involved in missing persons case. PTI will hold protest rallies outside Election Commissions offices all over the Pakistan on every Friday. Overseas Pakistani must be given right of vote in next elections.
Imran Khan strongly criticised judiciary that was holding 2013 general elections but he refrained from giving the name of a Brigadier of Pakistan army he promised he would inform people about his involvement in alleged rigging. It may be mentioned that returning Officers of elections are Session Judges.
These were important points raised by Chief of Tehrik-i-Insaaf (PTI) Imran Khan at protest rally held at D-Chowk in Islamabad on Sunday evening against alleged rigging in last year’s general elections and to press for reforms in election process.
In his address to the participants of the rally, the PTI chairman Imran Khan said that the Pakistan Muslim League –Nawaz (PML-N)-led federal government and Punjab governments tried their best to stop PTI workers and followers from reaching D-Chowk in Islamabad to attend the rally.
The PTI chairman said that today because of the PML-N, he was forced to appreciate former president and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari.
Imran said that the Islamabad Metro Bus project was to be completed in Rs 4 billion but the federal government was completing it in Rs 24 billion. He said that Asad Umar would go to the Supreme Court of Pakistan and challenge the project.
Imran Khan said that Prime Minister was in the United Kingdom and inviting entrepreneurs to invest in Pakistan, while Sharif brothers invested most in the UK.
Moreover, he said that if $200 billion was brought back to Pakistan from the Swiss banks, there would be tax holiday for 10 years.
The Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) made the Islami Jamhoori Ittehad (IJI), who was captain of that IJI? Imran asked.
The PTI chairman appreciated Hamid Mir’s efforts for freedom of speech in Pakistan. However, he criticized Geo TV and Jang group and its owner Mir Shakil-ur-Rahman for allegedly playing a role in rigging the 2013 General Elections.
Imran said that no country allowed any one to get money from abroad and set the national agenda.
On the occasion, the PTI chairman demanded new independent elections commission that conducts transparent elections. He also demanded immediate verification of thumb impressions in four constituencies.
The PTI chairman further said that overseas Pakistanis should be given right to vote , as per the Supreme Court orders.
Imran also announced that this Tsunami would now visit Faisalabad on May 23.
