ISLAMABAD: Senior leader and Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Election Commission, Hamid Khan has said that party’s polling body’s decision over not holding dual offices is final and enforced.

Hamid Khan has said in a statement issued from Islamabad this day that the constitution of the party says that the Election Commission has authority to decide eligibility of any candidate and PTI media cell issued its press release yesterday, for being unaware of it.

The public rank and party rank cannot be held simultaneously and PTI Election Commission’s decision is final and enforced from July 9, added Hamid Khan.

Hamid Khan has told in the statement that PTI’s party Election Commission is an independent body and it does not need approval of anybody for its decisions.

Earlier yesterday, the PTI media cell issued a statement of the party chief that the Central executive Committee of the party will take final decision over dual offices’ issue and up till approval of the CEC, no decision is followed.
