Provocation along LoC, Working Boundary will meet befitting response: COAS

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel has warned that any provocation along the Line of Control (LoC) and the Working Boundary will meet a befitting response.

“Let there be no doubt that any provocation along LOC and Working Bdry will meet a befitting response,” the Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asim Saleem Bajwa quoted the army chief as saying while visiting the most affected area of Sialkot Working Boundary by Indian violations on Thursday.

During his visit, the army chief was briefed on the latest situation, the DG ISPR said.

The DG ISPR said that the army chief met troops and local residents and found them in high spirits and full of resolve.

The COAS expressed solidarity with villagers affected by violations and paid rich tributes to their resilience. He said that the whole nation is united in defending the motherland.

The army chief said that repeated Indian ceasefire violations on the Working Boundary and the LoC distracted Pakistan from its campaign against terrorism and affected regional stability.
