ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: As Pakistan along with the World Community is battling the infectious Coronavirus (COVID-19), President Dr Arif Alvi has underlined the need for forging a unity among the entire nation to overcome the ordeal with success and dignity.
“We must rise to meet Challenge of Coronavirus in Pakistan,” the president said in a Twitter message on Thursday while appealing to the nation.
President Dr Arif Alvi urged the nation to keep their differences apart and engage in the process of mutual assistance. ”Forget all differences & start helping the people,” he said.
The president said that in the war against the pandemic, everything else is secondary because it has to be fought by every family in every home.
“Ensure your personal safety & then help others,” he noted.

Meanwhile, the COVID-19 hasn’t yet abated and so far taken 8,970 lives across the World including two in Pakistan. Though 85,745 virus-infected patients have now recovered but 124,642 are still quarantined and receiving treatment.
Over 219,357 people in 176 Countries have been exposed to the Coronavirus since late last year. 80,928 of them have been infected in China alone while Italy has also recorded 35,713 Cases and Iran 17,361.
In Pakistan, 301 people have so been diagnosed with the COVID-19 whereas two patients in Peshawar and Mardan have died of it.
