RAWALPINDI: The leader of the opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah on Friday urged Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to take decision to curb terrorism in the country, and said that his party Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) firmly stands by the government and will accept any decision regarding talks or action against militants.
Talking to media persons at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Rawalpindi on Friday‚ the opposition leader said that protection of lives and property of every citizen is the responsibility of the state.
The PPP senior leader accompanied by former federal ministers Qamar Zaman Kaira and Nazar Muhammad Gondal arrived in CMH to inquire after the health of security personnel injured in the recent bombings in Bannu and Rawalpindi.
Shah said that leaders need to take decisions and nation is ready to face difficulties. He said that the PPP firmly stands by the government and it will accept any decision regarding talks or action against militants.
The opposition leader urged political parties to refrain from point scoring over the issue of terrorism.
