Speaking on the occasion‚ the PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari paid great homage to Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
He said he was a great leader who empowered the poor and made Pakistan’s defence impregnable by making it an atomic power.
He said if voted to power again the PPP would continue the mission of its leaders to make Pakistan a strong‚ progressive and true democratic country.
Bilawal said their party‚ during its last tenure gave unprecedented freedom to media‚ launched the Pak-Iran gas pipeline project and gave the Gwadar port to a Chinese company to run it smoothly.
Later‚ a 2 minute silence was observed at 2:00 AM when the Shaheed leader was sent to the gallows this day in 1979.
Our media reports that with Bilawal’s address at Naudero‚ the PPP has formally launched its election campaign.
