Government of PakistanPolitics of protest, agitation damage country: Shahbaz Sharif

LAHORE, Pakistan: Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday said that politics of agitation had made a serious dent to the country as those doing negative politics neither wanted national development nor people’s prosperity.

Talking to a Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) delegation in Lahore on Saturday, he said that that PML-N always did politics of values. He said people were politically conscious and they knew who was serving them and who was carrying out politics of disintegration.

The Chief Minister said as the politics of agitation had already damaged country’s economy and the country was on the path of progress and prosperity, hence, there was no justification of protest.

He said the people believed in progress and developmental works and not in politics of sit-ins and protests.
