PakistanPML-N’s Jamali files papers for Balochistan Speaker slot

QUETTA: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Jan Muhammad Jamali on Monday filed his nomination papers for the slot of Speaker Balochistan Assembly.

The nomination papers for this purpose will be received till 4 pm today and scrutiny will be held at 5 pm. The final list of the valid nomination paper will be displayed at 6 pm.

The PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif on Sunday nominated National Party chief Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch as Chief Minister of Balochistan, demonstrating remarkable political maturity to end deadlock over formation of coalition government in the province.

“Time has come to take practical steps for the prosperity of Balochistan. It is time to heal the wounds of Baloch people,” Nawaz said while speaking to reporters in Murree after chairing a meeting.

He said that a corruption-free government would be set up in Balochistan, announcing that new governor would be from Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PMAP).
