ISLAMABAD: The unofficial results of the by-elections on 15 National and 26 Provincial Assemblies seats across the country have been announced.

As many as five hundred candidates were in the race of by-elections.

In a press briefing‚ the Secretary Election Commission‚ Ishtiaq Ahmed Khan announced the first official by-polls result coming from the Punjab Assembly’s constituency PP-123 Sialkot where the PML-N’s Khawaja Mansha Butt defeated the PTI’s Daud Pervez by securing nearly twenty two thousand votes.

According to National Assembly (NA) results‚ Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) have bagged five seats‚ Pakistan Peoples Party three‚ Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf two‚ MQM‚ Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PMAP) 9 and Awami National Party (ANP) one seat each.

The results of two National Assembly seats NA-5 Nowshera and NA-27 Lakki Marwat have been withheld and re-polling will be held in some polling stations.

The election on NA-25 D.I. Khan-Tank was postponed due to security reasons.

In Punjab Assembly‚ PML-N won eleven seats‚ PPP and PTI two seats.

In Sindh Assembly‚ MQM captured three seats and PPP one.

In Balochistan Assembly‚ PML-N got two seats and independent candidate won one seat.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly‚ JUI-F and ANP got one seat each and two independent candidates got success.
