PoliticsPML-N not to bow down Imran's threat: Rana Sanaullah

LAHORE, Pakistan: Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan terming Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Raiwind March a flopped show said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) would not be bothered by Imran Khan’s threat to close Islamabad.

Speaking to media persons at DGPR office on late Friday night, he said, according to reports of various TV channels and other sources 10,000 to 12,000 from Lahore and 17,000 to 18,000 people from all over Pakistan participated in the PTI rally. Infact, he said, people of Lahore had once again rejected Khan’s politics of polarization.

He said the cricketer-turned-politician was busy staging a drama while Pakistan’s enemy was lurking to strike at the border and the innocent Kashmiris were being martyred by India. “Imran should apologise to the nation for wasting its time and wait for the 2018 general elections,” he opined.

The Law Minister said, PTI leader had claimed to gather 500,000 people in his Raiwind rally but he miserably failed and could not draw even 200,000 people to his march. Now, he said, Imran should fulfil his promise not to take out rallies onward.

Rana Sanaullah said both Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Imran Khan had common agenda to close Islamabad and halt China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). He said despite PTI leader’s tactics, the government was succeeding in the war against terrorism. “Despite your negative actions, the CPEC was progressing,” he mentioned.

He said that world knew that owing to efforts of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Nawaz Sharif, Pakistan had become nuclear power and now India could not dare to attack it.

“We have best defence and best army in the world,” he said.

The Law Minister said AML leader Sheikh Rashid Ahmed was troublesome and wanting blood of the people all the time. He said that now the nation would stop such people and bring them accountable for their anti-Pakistan acts.

Present on the occasion, spokesman of the Punjab government Syed Zaeem Hussain Qadri said that legal action would be taken against PTI leadership for violating its agreement.
