BEIJING: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif while terming his current visit to China as very successful‚ has lauded the warmth and hospitality which he and members of the delegation received at all the places they visited.

He expressed these views at a banquet hosted in his honour and members of his delegation by Governor of Guangdong province Zhu Xiaodan.

The Prime Minister said that he had very successful meetings with President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang in Beijing. He said that during his visit he held a number of meetings with the Chinese companies and invited them for investment in energy‚ infrastructure development and other areas of economy.

During the meeting with Governor of Guangdong province‚ Zhu Xiaodan‚ both sides discussed the promotion of trade and also cooperation in tourism.

Mr. Zhu informed the Prime Minister about presence of a large number of Pakistani traders and business community in the province.

He said that 60 per cent bilateral trade is being done through this province. The Governor‚ however stressed the need for enhancement of trade volume. His province‚ the Governor said will welcome Pakistani tourists in the Guangdong.

The banquet was also attended by Chief Minister of Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif‚ Chief Minister Balochistan‚ Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch‚ Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi‚ Foreign Secretary Jalil Abbass Jilani‚ Ambassador Masood Khalid and senior officials from Chinese foreign ministry.
