PM Nawaz inaugurates Ziarat residency, hoists national flag

QUETTA, Pakistan: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday inaugurated the newly reconstructed residency of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in Ziarat and hoisted the national flag there.

On the occasion, the Balochistan Governor Muhammad Khan Achkzai, Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik and the Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif were also present.

The residency where founding father Quaid-e-Azam spent his last days was restored to its original shape in a short span of four months at a cost of Rs150 million.

The Ziarat residency was burnt to ashes by when militants from the outlawed Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) attacked it with hand grenades on June 15 last year.
