PM Nawaz assures steps to avert flood damages in future

JHANG, Pakistan: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has assured that steps will be taken to avert flood damages in the future.

In his address to the flood affected people at Jandyana area in Jhang district on Saturday, Sharif said that the government will not rest till complete rehabilitation of flood affected people.

The prime minister said that all available resources have been made available for the relief activities. He said that damage assessment has been carried out and every flood affected family will be fully compensated without discrimination.

Sharif said that the first installment of Rs 25 thousand was paid to the flood affected families before Eid-ul Azha while the process of payment of second installment of Rs 25 thousand will start from October 20.

The premier also appreciated the efforts put in by the district administration for the relief of flood hit people, saying it is unprecedented that the flood hit people have been provided with relief on fast track basis.

We will not allow the Americans to gag the entire council with their hands in an effort to encourage further continuation of Israel's ruthless operation," he said in a speech at the Security Council.
