PoliticsPM is answerable to parliament, people in democracy: Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has said that the prime minister is accountable to the Parliament and people in democracy, adding that a large number of people will come out on November 2.

“There will be an ocean of people in Islamabad on November 2,” Imran Khan said while talking to media representatives in Islamabad on Wednesday.

Imran said that the PTI launched a country wide campaign to motivate the people and now people have become aware of corruption. He said that corruption should be controlled to make Pakistan a developed country.

“People now fully understand that we need to contain and control corruption in order to save the country,” he said.

The PTI Chief said that those parties or individuals who are afraid of accountability will definitely support Nawaz Sharif because they know after him, it will be their turn.

Imran Khan said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) accuses us of standing against development. “Yes we are against development in their personal accounts,” he said.

When asked about the hearing in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in connection with the disqualification references against him and PTI’s Secretary General Jahangir Khan Tareen on November 2 – the day of the party’s planned siege of Islamabad, Imran Khan said that hearing in the ECP will be held in the morning whereas PTI’s sit-in will begin at 02:00 pm.
