ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that perpetrators of the Paris terror attacks are enemies of Islam and humanity.

In a meeting with the French ambassador Martine Dorance in Islamabad on Friday, the prime minister said that Pakistanis realized the pain of French people because they themselves are victims of terrorism.

“We understand the pain of French nation,” the prime minister said.

Sharif said that terrorists are enemies of humanity and their elimination is inevitable for the world peace.

The prime minister said that the military operation Zarb-e-Azb and 20-point anti-terror National Action Plan (NAP) enjoy support of the entire nation.

“We took the decision to take the terrorist to task after long deliberations, consultations and support of all state institutions including parliament.”

Today the whole nation is behind this operation Zarb-e-Azb and national action plan,” he added.

The French ambassador said that the French people are thankful to Pakistani government and the nation for support and sympathy.

“We are touched by the response of common people and really were moved on the messages of condolence from students of army public school Peshawar,” she said.

On November 13, a series of coordinated terror attacks occurred in various parts of the French Capital Paris, killing at least 129 people and injuring over 180 others. The terror outfit mostly based in Syria and Iraq ‘Islamic State’ also called as ‘Daesh’ had claimed responsibility for the attacks.

NA observes one minute silence in memory of Paris, Lebanon attacks’ victims

Meanwhile, the National Assembly on Friday observed one minute silence in memory of the victims of terror attacks in Paris and Lebanon.

The State Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmed and Leader of the Opposition Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah requested the Chair to observe one minute silence to express solidarity with the victims.
