ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Tuesday said the development of Balochistan will remain a top priority of his government’s agenda in the years ahead.

He was talking to Speaker Balochistan Assembly Ms. Rahila Hameed Durrani who called on him here at the PM House.

The Prime Minister said Balochistan was close to his heart and peace and prosperity of the Province has been top priority of the present government.

Sharif said peace in the Province has been restored due to commendable efforts of the civil and military Law Enforcement Agencies during the past three years.

The Prime Minister said it was highly encouraging that a woman has been elected as Speaker of Balochistan Provincial Assembly for the first time.

Ms. Rahila Durrani thanked the Prime Minister for his keen interest in restoration of peace and putting the Province on the path of development.

Ms. Durrani briefed the Prime Minister on the parliamentary and legislative proceedings in the Provincial Assembly.
