LAHORE, Pakistan: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) plans to organise an event for the much-talked about T20 Pakistan Super League (PSL) in Lahore on September 20 to unveil its logo and official anthem.

The first edition of the PSL is scheduled to take place from February 4 to 24 next year in the Qatari capital of Doha.

The unveiling event will feature musical performances by the country’s leading musicians, pop-rock band Strings and Ali Zafar.

As the PCB has promised to make this inaugural edition of PSL a memorable cricketing event in history, it has some plans up its sleeves to make sure that happens.

The event will bring together a host of national celebrities from the fields of fashion, film, TV and music together on the same platform as well as cricketing superstars. These celebs are supposed to be ambassadors of each of the five participating teams.

Moreover, two hashtags — #PSL and #‎AbKhelKeDikha — have been introduced for social media.

The PSL that is supposed to take place in Doha has garnered a lot of hype in the national as well international media and all eyes will be on this historic sporting event that takes to Doha 40 of the biggest international cricketers from around the world with Pakistan’s own cricket heroes.
