Passenger van collides with truck in Mastung, 13 killed

QUETTA, Pakistan: A speedy passenger van collided with a truck in Mastung district of Balochistan on Thursday which resulted in deaths of 13 persons and injuries to seven others.

The assistant commissioner Mastung Ismail Ibrahim told media that the incident took place in Khad Kucha area of Mastung where a Quetta-bound passenger van hit a truck coming from the opposite side.

Ibrahim said that it was van driver’s fault which caused the collision because he could not control the vehicle due to over speeding.

The dead bodies and injured were shifted to District Headquarters Hospital Mastung where three of the injured persons were reported to be in a critical condition.

Meanwhile, the Levies personnel reached the spot and launched an investigation into the incident.
