JHANG, Pakistan: A passenger bus collided with a truck on Khushab road near Nasirabad on Saturday morning, killing at least 13 persons including women and children.

The rescue sources said that the fatal collision happened when the bus was travelling from Khushab to Jhang but was struck by a truck coming from the opposite side.

The accident also caused injuries to around 20 persons who were immediately shifted to the District Health Quarter (DHQ) Hospital Jhang and other nearby hospitals for medical treatment.

Meanwhile, the Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif expressed deep sorrow and grief over the loss of precious lives in the accident.

The Chief Minister condoled and sympathized with the bereaved families, and directed to provide best possible medical care facilities to the injured.
