Pakistan’s COVID-19 death toll jumps to 13,166

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The number of deaths caused by Coronavirus in Pakistan has reached 13,166 after 38 more patients passed away of it in the last 24 hours, according to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).

Of fresh fatalities, 24 occurred in Punjab, 6 in Sindh, 5 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 2 in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), and 1 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

To date, Punjab has suffered the most COVID deaths – 5,534 followed by Sindh which has recorded 4,411 deaths.

Likewise, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has so far recorded 2,104 deaths, ICT 506, AJK 309, Balochistan 200, and Gilgit-Baltistan 102.

Additionally, 1,714 more people were tested positive on March 5 across the Country and now the total COVID-19 tally has jumped to 588,728.

Out of them, 259,392 Coronavirus Cases have surfaced in Sindh, 175,964 in Punjab, 73,515 in KPK, 45,329 in ICT, 19,106 in Balochistan, 10,464 in AJK, and 4,958 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

As of March 6, the total active COVID-19 Cases in Pakistan are 17,352 whereas 558,210 patients have been recovered from the disease.
