RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (JCSC) General Rashad Mahmood has held a meeting with the Brazilian Chief of Joint Staff General Jose Carlos De Nardi in Brazil on Saturday, according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Pakistani, Brazilian military leadership discuss defence cooperation

In its press release, the ISPR said that during the meeting, the two military leaders held discussions on security challenges and matters related to cooperation in the field of defence industry, training and professional interests between the two armed forces.

Earlier upon arrival at the ministry, the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee was given the guard of Honour.

Later, the JCSC also visited the Brazilian Army Headquarters and called on the Brazilian Army Commander General Eduardo Dias da Costa Villas Boas and Brazilian Air Force Commander Lieutenant Brigadier Nivaldo Luis Rossato.

The Brazilian military leadership appreciated the efforts of Pakistan in eliminating the menace of terror and acknowledged the sacrifices made by Pakistan in the war on terror.

The CJCSC, who is on an official visit to Brazil, also visited Superior War College in Brazil and was given a briefing by the Commandant of the college on institutional matters.
