Foreign OfficePakistan warns India, aggression will not go unpunished

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan Thursday rubbished Indian claim of a “surgical strike” into Pakistan, saying such “falsified, concocted and irresponsible” statements can only escalate the fragile security situation in the region.

“We can assure India that any such aggression will not go unanswered or unpunished,” the Foreign Office said in a hard-hitting statement.

Pakistan blamed India of “deliberately escalating tension” at the LoC to divert attention from the continued deteriorating situation in the Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and horrendous Indian brutalities.

“It [India] is trying to make fool of its own people and the international community,” the Foreign Office said.

Pakistan also strongly condemned the unprovoked ceasefire violations at the Line of Control (LoC) and termed it “continuation of a pattern” of violations by Indian forces.

“The valiant Armed Forces of Pakistan have given and will continue to give a befitting response to any aggression,” the Foreign Office said in a statement.

There has been a steadily growing war of words and heightened tension along the LoC between the two countries, following the attack at a military base in the Indian Occupied Kashmir.

Rejecting baseless Indian claim of carrying out surgical strikes into Pakistan, the Foreign Office regretted that India has chosen to share this falsified claim with the Indian media.

“Such falsified, concocted and irresponsible statements can only escalate the already fragile security situation in the region, especially in the wake of the Indian brutalities and war crimes in the Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir,” the Foreign Office said.

“Pakistan is ready to defend its people and territory from any Indian aggression or Indian State sponsored terrorism on Pakistani soil,” the statement said.
