ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has said Pakistan wanted to promote trade with regional countries and was maintaining good economic relations with Iran.
Talking in a private news channel programme, he said Pakistan and Iran were cooperating in many sectors, including agriculture, industry and energy.
He said Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) and Central Asia and South Asia (CASA) projects would also help connect the regional countries with one another.
The minister said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor was a landmark project that would provide access to many countries to Central Asia.
Replying to a question, he said all the provinces would get maximum benefit from China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as it was a mega project for the country and region.
Ahsan Iqbal said he would soon meet with Chief Minister Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and members of KPK Assembly regarding CPEC although the federal government had already removed their reservations on the project.
