Pakistan wants to have sustained ties with US: Nisar

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The federal minister for interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said that Pakistan wants to have a long-term, sustained and multifaceted equation with the United States for promotion of regional peace and development.

The interior minister made these remarks in a meeting with the US ambassador to Pakistan Richard Olson who called on him in Islamabad on Friday.

During the meeting, the two sides held a discussion on bilateral relations as well as regional situation.

Talking to the US envoy, the interior minister said that close collaboration between Pakistan and the United States is of great significance to achieve the objective of peace in the region.

The US ambassador on the occasion said that his country is committed to further strengthening its bilateral relations with Pakistan and enhancing cooperation on issues of mutual concern.
