RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Commander Turkish Air Force General Abidin Unal called on the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Rashad Mahmood at the Joint Staff Headquarters in Rawalpindi on Monday.

Pakistan, Turkey for enhancement of bilateral defence cooperation

The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release that both dignitaries discussed matters of professional interest and reiterated the need to enhance bilateral cooperation between the Armed Forces.

The visiting dignitary lauded the professionalism of Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged the sacrifices made by Pakistan in fight against terror.

The Turkish air force commander is on a four-day official visit to Pakistan on the invitation of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF).

On Saturday, Abidin Unal also visited the Air Headquarters in Islamabad and met the Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Suhail Aman to discuss matters of professional and mutual interest.

Earlier on Friday, the Turkish air force chief also attended the graduation ceremony of 135 General Duty (Pilot), 80 and 81 Engineering Course, and 15, 16 and 16 (A) A and SD courses in Risalpur as the chief guest.
