ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has said that higher education must be on top priority to get international recognition as Pakistan was going to play very important role in global market.
He stated this in a meeting with Dr Masoom Yasinzai Rector International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), who called on him and discussed the role of universities in development of Pakistan, said a news release Thursday.
Sartaj Aziz lauded the contributions of IIUI at national and international levels and urged the university to promote higher education in Pakistan. Advisor to the PM exchanged his views with Rector IIUI on matters of the university, particularly to extend its out-reach and scope to maximum.
He said Government was very keen to see high standard of education in the country and was investing more and more to materialize that dream.
Dr Masoom introduced the services and contributions of IIUI at national and international levels having laudable faculty strength, renowned scholars and researchers.
Rector IIUI also made him aware about the achievements and contributions of the university at large and particularly mentioned the role which the IIUI played in the country. He said IIUI had been producing harmonious skilled professionals integrated with teaching of Islam.
