Monitoring Desk: “Pakistan has taken a right step in right directions while starting fencing Durand Line which is 2,500 km border with Afghanistan while rejecting protest from Kabul to protect its land from terrorists living inside Afghanistan”, said a report published in Eurasia News.

“Pakistan should have taken this step decades ago since Afghanistan had become “Palace of Terrorists” hailing from all over the world”, commented Eurasia News in a news report.

Report indicates Pakistan is building 750 border forts along with Durand Line (Линия Дюранда) with an estimate cost of $530 million.

“All central Asian countries bordering Afghanistan (Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan) have iron fencing with Afghan border that helps to protect to control infiltration of Afghan people into central Asian states,” added report.

Many Tajik families are living in Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan but all three countries fence their borders. Referring Taxkorgan; a Tajik Autonomous County of Kashgar in western Xinjiang, China, report says that large community of Tajik people live in autonomous parts of China and this border has also strong fencing.

Chief of the Air Staff expressed his gratitude for the honour of receiving the Bahrain Medal - First Class. On the sidelines of Bahrain International Airshow, Commander of Ninth Air Force (US Air Forces Central Command — AFCENT), Lieutenant General Derek France called on Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force. The Air Chief reiterated his resolve to further enhance the existing bilateral cooperation between the two strategic partners. Commander AFCENT appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in promoting regional peace and vowed to enhance cooperation in the fields of joint training, mutual exercises and military to military collaboration. In a separate meeting, Chief of the Air Staff also called on Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force.
