Pakistan suffers 146 more COVID-19 deaths, tally reaches 17,957

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan suffered 146 more deaths caused by COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, taking the tally to 17,957.

Most of the deaths recorded on April 30 occurred in Punjab wherein 90 patients succumbed to the disease followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which registered 36 deaths.

Likewise, Sindh recorded 12 COVID-19 deaths, Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) 4, Balochistan 2, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) & Gilgit-Baltistan 1 each.

In the last 24, the Country also registered 4,696 new infections with a positivity ratio of 9.63%.

So far, a total of 825,519 Coronavirus Cases have been registered across Pakistan since the beginning.

Out of them, 303,182 Cases have surfaced in Punjab, 283,560 in Sindh, 118,413 in KPK, 75,498 in ICT, 22,369 in Balochistan, 17,187 in AJK, and 5,310 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Whereas out of a total of 17,957 COVID-19 deaths, Punjab has recorded 8,500 deaths, Sindh 4,645, KPK 3,310, ICT 683, AJK 476, Balochistan 236, and Gilgit-Baltistan 107.

As of now, 717,009 COVID-19 patients have recovered from the disease across the Country while 90,553 remain under treatment.
