KARACHI, Pakistan: The Saudi Naval Forces Vice Admiral Abdullah Al Sultan has said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are desirous of global peace and stability.

In his address at the passing out parade of 104th Midshipmen Commissioning and 13th SSC course of Pakistan Navy held in Karachi on Saturday, he said that both the countries are committed to eliminate extremism and terrorism from the region. He said that eradication of terrorism will bring progress and prosperity to the region.

The Saudi Vice Admiral Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have unanimity of views on regional and international issues. He said that cooperation between the naval forces of the two countries will be further strengthened through joint exercises and other steps.

Abdullah Al Sultan also appreciated the training standard at Pakistan Naval Academy, and said that he himself got training from the same academy.

Earlier, the Saudi Vice Admiral and Pakistan’s Naval Chief Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah jointly inspected the parade. A total of 88 cadets including 22 foreigners and two women passed out in the ceremony.

Pakistan Navy is providing training to cadets of 10 countries including Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Jordan, Libya, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Maldives, Sri Lanka and Turkmenistan.
