ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan recorded 95 COVID deaths on August 6, the highest fatalities caused by the novel virus recorded in the Country since May 20, 2021, when 102 people had succumbed to COVID-19.
The National Command and Operation Centre’s (NCOC) statistics showed that in the last 24 hours, 42 people died of Coronavirus in Sindh, 31 in Punjab, 17 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 2 in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) each, and 1 in Balochistan.
Additionally, further 4,720 people tested positive across the Country on August 6 with a ratio of 8.24%.

As of now, a total of 1,063,125 Coronavirus Cases and 23,797 COVID deaths have been recorded in the Country.
The NCOC’s statistics also showed that 959,491 people have so far recovered from the infection in the Country and 79,837 remain to be under treatment.
Meanwhile, 974,720 people were administered doses of the COVID-19 vaccine across Pakistan on August 6.
In total, 36,331,025 people have so far been vaccinated against the virus throughout the Country.
