Pakistan records 131 more COVID-19 deaths

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Further 131 COVID-19 patients breathed their last while 5,112 new infections were recorded across Pakistan on April 29, as per the latest statistics released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Friday morning.

In the last 24 hours, 83 people succumbed to COVID-19 in Punjab, 36 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 5 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), 3 in Sindh, 2 in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), and 1 in Balochistan.

The NCOC’s data showed that 49,099 tests were conducted on April 29 across the Country, and 5,112 of them returned positive.

To date, a total of 820,823 Coronavirus Cases have been detected across Pakistan including 301,114 in Punjab, 282,445 in Sindh, 117,557 in KPK, 75,067 in ICT, 22,278 in Balochistan, 17,057 in AJK, and 5,305 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Whereas 17,811 people have so far succumbed to the infection in the Country. Out of them, 8,410 people have died in Punjab, 4,633 in Sindh, 3,274 in KPK, 679 in ICT, 475 in AJK, 234 in Balochistan, and 106 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

In total, 711,465 people have recovered from the disease across Pakistan as of now while there are currently 91,547 Active COVID-19 Cases in the Country.
