Pakistan opens walk-in vaccination for 30 and above

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has decided to open up the walk-in vaccination for people of 30 years of age and above from tomorrow (May 29, 2021).

It was decided in the NCOC’s meeting held in Islamabad on Friday with the Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives Asad Umar in the Chair.

The minister asked the people aged 30 and above having registered themselves to go to any Vaccination Centre and get vaccinated against COVID-19.

Meanwhile, to ensure a safe environment for education and conduct of exams, walk-in vaccination for teachers above 18 years of age has been opened.

According to the NCOC, teachers can walk into any vaccination center with CNIC, a stamped letter from the head of Institution/Teachers’ ID Card, and get themselves vaccinated.

Earlier on May 27, 284,975 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 across the Country.

To date, a total of 6,709,848 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered to the people in the Country.

In the last 24 hours, 2,482 more people tested positive and 67 breathed their last across the Country.

The latest statistics released by the NCOC showed that 26 people died of Coronavirus in Punjab on May 27, 24 in Sindh, 16 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 2 in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), and 1 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

So far, Pakistan has recorded a total of 834,566 Coronavirus Cases, 20,607 deaths, and 834,566 recoveries since the beginning.

Punjab – 3.35%
Sindh – 7.56%
KPK – 4.73%
ٰICT – 2.80%
Balochistan – 5.86%
AJK – 5.97%
Gilgit-Baltistan – 2.44%
