Pakistan not ready for minus Kashmir, water issue talks with India: Sartaj

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Prime Minister’s Advisor on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has said that Pakistan desires to resume dialogue with India with particular focus on resolving Kashmir and water issue.

“Pakistan is a peace loving country and stands by its position to resolve all outstanding issues with India through dialogue,” the advisor said that while speaking at a meeting of education experts of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) countries in Islamabad on Monday.

An emergency meeting of the foreign ministers of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member countries will be held in Jeddah on Tuesday to discuss the situation in Yemen and its dispute with Saudi Arabia besides the issue of Rohingya Muslims of Myanmar.

The advisor said that Pakistan will also raise issues of Kashmir and water on the platform of the upcoming OIC meeting.

Sartaj Aziz further said that recent statements of the Indian leadership reflect their war phobia.

Recently, the Indian political leadership issued various provocative and threatening statements which included admission of India’s involvement in breakup of East Pakistan, blaming Pakistan of spreading terrorism in India, threatening it of facing surgical strikes by the Indian armed forces and advocating the use of terrorism to tackle alleged Pakistan-sponsored terror activities in India.
