Islamabad: Pakistan government has issued Weather Advisory-3 (ALERT) after constant heavy to very heavy rains are reported all over the country. Upper Punjab, Khybar Pakhtun Khawa, Kashmir and northern areas are under the impact of Clouds bursting when hot clouds coming from Arabian sea mingled very cold clouds coming over Himalaya range over Indian and Pakistan held Kashmir.

More Widespread Heavy to Very Heavy Rains/Thunderstorm Predicted in Northeast Punjab
& Kashmir during next 24-36 hours
Yesterday’s well marked Monsoon Low Pressure Area (MLPA) is now located over northwest Rajasthan (India) and adjoining areas with its trough extending upto northeast Punjab. The chief amounts of rainfall recorded during last 30 hours are as; Sialkot (cantt. 251,Airport 167), Rawalakot 194, Lahore (City 183 Airport 180),Kotli 168, Gujrat 163, Mangla 153, Kasur 135, Jhelum 115, Faisalabad 113, T T Singh 97, Okara 85 and Mandibahauddin 70 mm.
This weather system still has a potential to produce heavy at times very heavy rainfall over northeast Punjab (Gujranwala. Lahore, Rawalpindi divisions), Kashmir and adjoining areas during next 24-36 hours. causing flood situation in the Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi, Sutlej Rivers and their tributaries.
Punjab Forecast
Widespread rain/thundershowers with isolated heavy at times very heavy falls are expected in Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi divisions and Islamabad during next 24-36 hours. Heavy falls may generate further flash/urban flooding in the vulnerable areas.
Scattered rain/thundershowers are also expected in rest of Punjab during the period.
Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Forecast
Widespread rain/thundershowers with isolated heavy at times very heavy falls are expected in Kashmir during next 24-36 hours. Heavy intermittent rainfall may trigger further flash flooding/landslides in the vulnerable areas of Kashmir.
Scattered rain/thundershowers are also expected in Gilgit-Baltistan during next 24 hours.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Forecast
Scattered rain/thundershowers are expected in upper parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Malakand, Hazara, Mardan, Kohat and Peshawar divisions) while at isolated places in Bannu and D.I. Khan divisions during next 24-36 hours. Isolated heavy falls are also expected in Hazara & Malakand division during the period.
Sindh Forecast
Rain/thundershowers are expected at scattered places in Sukkar and Mirpur Khas divisions during next 24 hours.
Balochistan Forecast
Rain/thundershowers are expected at isolated places in Sibbi and Naseerabad divisions on Thursday/Friday.

SIGNIFICANT FLOOD FORECAST FOR RIVER CHENAB
River Chenab at Marala is likely to cross 7,00,000 Cusecs Exceptionally High Flood Level during 0100 PST of 05-09-2014 to 1100 PST of 05-09-2014.
River Chenab at Khanki is likely to cross 7,00,000 Cusecs Exceptionally High Flood Level during 1100 PST of 05-09-2014 to 2200 PST of 05-09-2014.
River Chenab at Qadirabad is also likely to cross 7,00,000 Cusecs Exceptionally High Flood Level during 1700 PST of 05-09-2014 to 0200 PST of 06-09-2014.
All the concerned authorities of Gujrat, Faisalabad, Narowal, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujranwala & Sialkot Districts are requested to take necessary precautionary measures to avoid any loss of life and property.
