Pakistan gifts surgical masks and protective suits to United States

Pakistan has gifted personal protective equipment (PPE) to the US Armed Forces as a token of friendship and solidarity during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our countries' health partnership and coordinated response will help defeat this virus, and rebuild our prosperity.” While appreciating Pakistan’s goodwill donation of surgical masks and protective suits to the US Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo tweeted saying that “This delivery is a symbol of US-Pakistan solidarity in the fight against COVID-19. #WeAreInThisTogether #Partners4Prosperity.” In response to Mike Pompeo’s appreciation, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Asad Majeed Khan said that Pakistan and the United States have always worked together to promote common interests and counter common challenges. “It is no surprise that #WeAreInThisTogether in the fight against COVID-19 as well!,” the ambassador tweeted.
