PESHAWAR, Pakistan: The six members of the Pakistan Cricket Team visited the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Peshawar on Saturday and inquired about the health of the students who were injured during the deadly terror attack at the army-run school last month.

The players who visited the military hospital included captain Misbah-ul-Haq, Shahid Afridi, Ahmad Shahzad, Muhammad Irfan and Yasir Shah.

The players, who are part of the 15-member squad for the upcoming Cricket World Cup 2015, expressed solidarity with injured students and distributed gifts and bouquets.

They also met the parents of the students who were martyred and injured in the terrorists attack. They offered fateha for the martyred students and teachers and early recovery of the injured.

On December 16, nine foreign militants including one Chechen, three Arabs and two Afghans carried out a brutal attack at the army public school (APS) in Peshawar that left 150 persons mostly children dead while dozens others were injured.

In connection with the completion of one month since the APS Peshawar attack, vigils were held on Friday across the world including in Pakistan to pay tribute to the victims of December 16 attack.

Likewise, other ceremonies were also held at different parts of Pakistan on completion of one month to Peshawar tragedy. Three JF-17 thunder jets of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) presented a fly past over the APS Peshawar as a mark to pay homage to the martyrs.
