RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army’s top brass on Monday finalized troops’ deployment wherever needed just days before the elections following a series of bomb attacks in Sindh, Balochistan and KPK.

According to an ISPR press release, a special Corps Commanders’ Conference was held at General Headquarters on Monday which was presided over by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani.

The focus of the conference was on the plan for provision of security during upcoming elections.

All issues pertaining to troops deployment, as per the discussion with Election Commission of Pakistan, federal and the provincial government, were considered and a deployment plan was finalized.
