LAHORE, Pakistan: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the 16-member One Day International (ODI) squad for the forthcoming five-match series against Sri Lanka.

The 7-foot-1-inch left-arm fast bowler Muhammad Irfan has been recalled to the squad after recovered from his injury, he sustained during the 2015 Cricket World Cup.

The 30-year-old right-hand batsman Azhar Ali will continue to lead the Pakistan ODI side.

The other members of the team are Ahmed Shehzad, Azhar Ali (Captain), Muhammad Hafeez, Mukhtar Ahmed, Asad Shafiq, Shoaib Malik, Muhammad Rizwan, Babar Azam, Sarfraz Ahmed (Vice-captain/Wicket Keeper), Yasir Shah, Bilal Asif, Immad Wasim, Anwar Ali, Muhammad Irfan, Ehsan Adil and Rahat Ali

Pakistan 16-member ODI squad for Sri Lanka series

The five-match ODI series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka will begin from July 11 and will continue till July 26.

The first ODI will be played at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium on July 11, second at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on July 15, third and fourth ODIs will be played at the R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo on July 19 and July 22 while fifth match will be at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium, Sooriyawewa, Hambantota on July 26.

Meanwhile, the third and final Test match between the two sides continues at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. Earlier, both the teams won one match each.

Chief of the Air Staff expressed his gratitude for the honour of receiving the Bahrain Medal - First Class. On the sidelines of Bahrain International Airshow, Commander of Ninth Air Force (US Air Forces Central Command — AFCENT), Lieutenant General Derek France called on Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force. The Air Chief reiterated his resolve to further enhance the existing bilateral cooperation between the two strategic partners. Commander AFCENT appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in promoting regional peace and vowed to enhance cooperation in the fields of joint training, mutual exercises and military to military collaboration. In a separate meeting, Chief of the Air Staff also called on Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force.
