ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Minister for Commerce Engineer Khurram Dastagir Khan Friday told the National Assembly the economic ties between Pakistan and Australia would enhance further.

Replying to a question, the minister said that both countries were exchanging their delegations in the field of trade and commerce.

He told the House that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif would visit Australia soon which would further enhance ties between the two countries.

He said Pakistan would enhance its ties with Australia in the field of agriculture, engineering and meat sector.

He said Finance ministry was refunding dues of exporters.

Khurram said recently Pakistan hosted a textile expo in Karachi in which 400 delegates from 60 countries participated, adding that another expo would be held this year to enhance trade activities.

He said that Pakistan was also promoting designing industry as the country has potential in this field.

He said that Saudi Arabia has banned shrimp imports from Pakistan and the government would conduct investigation of the issue.
