RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Afghan Director General Military Operations (DGMO) alongwith a delegation visited the army’s general headquarter in Rawalpindi on Thursday and held a meeting with his Pakistani counterpart.

In a press release issued on Thursday, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the visit was sequel to COAS visit of Kabul in December 15 last year, during which regular bilateral interactions of Pakistan and Afghanistan military were decided as part of which bilateral Corps Comds meet was also held at Peshawar last week.

During the meeting today, issues related to bilateral security and border management came under discussion.

Both sides reiterated that terrorists operating on either side of border will not be allowed to use their soil for any terrorists acitivity on either side of the border.

Both sides expressed resolve to continue the interaction for better bilateral military to military coordination.

Pakistan Army offers help for rescue of Indian soldiers

Meanwhile, Pakistan DGMO called his Indian counterpart today and offered help for rescuing Indian soldiers trapped under avalanche in Siachen, according to the ISPR.

According to international media reports, around 10 Indian soldiers were missing after an avalanche struck the Siachen glacier in Indian-administered Kashmir on Wednesday.
