The DG ISPR apprised media about the terrorist attack and the response of the security forces, saying 39 people including 23 of PAF embraced martyrdom in the attack. He said that 13 to 14 terrorists entered the PAF camp at about 5 am firing rocket launchers and other weapons.

Bajwa said that the personnel of Pakistan Air Force instantly, bravely and effectively responded to the attack.

Within 10 minutes, quick response force also reached the site and contained the terrorists within 50 meters from the entry point.

The DG ISPR said that said the integrated and coordinated operation of the PAF, commandoes and Quick Response Force (QRF) helped foil the nefarious plan of the terrorists.

The director general of the Pakistan army media wing said that the terrorists wanted to move forward but they were contained and eliminated within the 50 meters area. They were not allowed to go to the residential or the sensitive area.

Bajwa said that such kind of acts cannot deter our resolve in the fight against terrorism.  He said that the operation against terrorists will continue till their complete elimination.

“We are fully prepared to foil their designs and their handlers, facilitators and abettors are also being targeted,” the DG ISPR said.
