SIALKOT: More than 200 villages have been submerged and standing crops on several acres destroyed due to high flood in River Tawi‚ Nalluh Dek and Basantar.

According to reports, road links and bridges were washed away by the gushing water in Sialkot and Rajanpur‚ as a result people were stranded.

Similarly, more than two dozen villages of Sialkot and Gujranwala were also submerged in floodwater.

Flood warning has been issued for more than 150 villages adjacent to Chiniot near River Chenab while flood warning has also been issued for five tehsils due to high flood in River Sutlej.

Meanwhile‚ traffic between Muridke and Narowal was disrupted due to collapse of a bridge at a canalMeanwhile‚ as many as 30 villages have been inundated as the water level in River Indus increased at Dadu-Moro Bridge.

The Provincial Disaster Management Cell has issued warning after the situation.

People have been asked to vacate the affected areas.The floods are also likely to hit some parts of Sukkur and Larkana.
