Government of PakistanOpponents politicking with hollow slogans: PM Nawaz

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Friday said he had already taken the nation into confidence over his assets, however those pursuing the “politics of denial” were responding negatively to this positive step.

“Despite his decision on setting up Commission led by Chief Justice in accordance with the desire of all political parties, the opponents have changed their stance and are politicking with hollow slogans,” the Prime Minister said in his separate meetings with the parliamentarians.

The Members of Parliament who met the Prime Minister here at the PM House included Sardar Muhammad Irfan Dogar (NA-134), Alam Dad Laleka (NA-189) and Mian Najeebuddin Awaisi (NA-184).

The Prime Minister said his government had record projects completed during his tenure and added that he did not believe in mere customary inaugurations.

The Prime Minister mentioned the inauguration of three gas projects yesterday in areas including Abbottabad to Mansehra, Mansehra to Uggi and Mansehrato Shinkiari.

He urged upon the parliamentarians to sincerely and dedicatedly serve the masses.

He said soon 10,000 MW electricity would be added to the national grid which would help overcome power shortage.

Nawaz Sharif said the country’s economy had attained stability with low inflation rate and high foreign exchange reserves.

The parliamentarians told the Prime Minister that people were supportive of his pro-development policies.

The MNAs apprised the Prime Minister about progress of development work in their constituencies.
