No one allowed to take law into his hands, all hurdles removed: Nisar

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The federal minister for interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said on Thursday that no one will be allowed to take law into his hands, and that the government has allowed marchers and removed all hurdles in respect of the Lahore High Court’s (LHC) decision.

His statement comes as Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Azad march and Dr Tahirul Qadri-led Pakistan Awami Tehreek’s (PAT) Inqilabi march are on their way towards the federal capital from Lahore.

In his address at a press conference in Islamabad on Thursday night, the interior minister said that the marchers must also respect the LHC’s verdict and must remain within the ambit of constitution.

The interior minister said that the government has no objection over the political activities but nobody will be allowed to carry weapons with him.

The minister added that as far as the removal of containers from Islamabad is concerned, the government is waiting for formal requests for the rallies from the concerned parties. He said that now a formal request of the PTI has been received and that of the PAT will be received shortly.

Nisar said that sites are being specified for the marches and a traffic plan has also been chalked out that will be announced soon. He said that upon arrival of the rallies, the specific routes will be opened for citizens of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.

The interior minister said that things are completely under control and all administrative setup is ready to deal with situation.
