ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said that nothing can come in the way of Pak-Iran relations.

Talking to media in Islamabad on Saturday evening, he said that people, government and military of Pakistan are committed to enhance relations with Iran.

The minister said kite flying regarding arrest of Indian spy and his links with Iran should be avoided. He said Iran is a brotherly country of Pakistan that has always supported us in every difficult time. He said Pakistan and Iran can jointly bring stability to the region.

Nisar said that Iran had no connivance with the activities of Indian intelligence network. He said that a section of media tried unduly criticized Iran which harmed the good feeling came out of Iranian President’s visit to Pakistan and we are trying to address it.

The interior minister urged media to be very cautious while reporting on Pak-Iran relations as it involves brotherly relations between the two countries.

The minister said that the issue of India’s Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) agent Kulbhushan Yadav would be taken to its logical conclusion.

Responding to media reports appeared in a section of media, he rejected any secret meeting of his and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif with Army Chief General Raheel Sharif.

Chaudhry Nisar said that they held a routine meeting in broad daylight which could not be dubbed as secret.

Commenting on deletion of Pervez Musharraf’s name from the Exit Control List (ECL), the minister said that the government rejected Musharraf’s plea for this purpose thrice. He said that the government deleted Musharraf’s name on court’s observation.

Turning to handling of sit-in in Islamabad, he said that the protesters were dispersed due to prudent strategy of the government and all the cabinet members were on the same page in that regard. He said that every step was taken with complete consultation of cabinet members and the prime minister was also onboard.

The minister said that the government handled the issue without shedding any drop of blood.
