Noose tightened around terrorists: Nisar

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said that noose has been tightened around the terrorists and they are now targeting soft targets in utter desperation.

In his address at a public gathering in Kallar Syedan on Saturday, the interior minister said that the war on terrorism will be won at all costs to make the country a cradle of peace.

The minister said that the terrorists want to drive a wedge in the society through acts of terrorism and it is the responsibility of the entire nation and the political parties to give a message of unity and unwavering commitment to defeat the terrorists.

Nisar said that overall law and order has improved since the launch of operation against terrorism.

“We will further gear up efforts against the terrorists who have maligned the name of Islam through their nefarious acts,” he said.

Earlier talking to media in Islamabad, the information minister Pervaiz Rasheed termed terrorism as the biggest threat to Pakistan and vowed to get rid of this scourge at all cost.

The information minister said that the nation as a whole has made the pledge to make Pakistan free of terrorism. He said that the operation Zarb-e-Azb will continue till elimination of last terrorist from the country.
