ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The federal minister for interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said on Thursday that nobody will be allowed to ransack state institutions on November 30.

However, he added, that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will have the permission to hold a peaceful, political and democratic meeting, say a report published on Radio Pakistan.

The PTI led by cricketer-turned politician Imran Khan has announced to hold a massive public gatherings on November 30 in the federal capital as a part of its efforts to pressurize the federal government to initiate investigation into alleged rigging in the 2013 general elections.

Talking to media representatives in Islamabad on Thursday after attending the passing out parade of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) officers, the interior minister said clarified the Frontier Corps (FC) and police forces have been summoned from other cities not to baton charge the protesting people but to protect the national institutions.

“A mechanism has been evolved for use of water cannons,” the interior minister said.

The interior minister said that a three tier security plan has been prepared for November 30. He said that the FC, police and rangers will perform the duty to avert any untoward incident on that day.

The minister further said that the country’s national security apparatus is fully operational and several terror attacks have been foiled. He said that terror attacks have witnessed a decrease since the launch of military operation against the terrorists.

Earlier, addressing the passing out ceremony, Nisar said that police have an important role to deal with the challenges faced by the country including terrorism.

The minister appreciated the sacrifices rendered by the security personnel for the sake of the country.

Chaudhry Nisar said that police personnel are the protectors of the nation and they will have to develop better and close coordination with the public to deal with the security issues.
