ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan Monday said the time-tested and sincere friendship between Pakistan and China was a worry for the enemies of peace and development but no power can obstruct the bilateral friendship.

In a meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Sun Weidong at the Punjab House in Islamabad, the minister said that strategic relationship between both the two countries guaranteed stability and peace in the region.

“Pakistan was resolved to execute the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) at earliest and it was government’s top priority to ensure foolproof security to the Chinese engineers and workers,” Chaudhry Nisar added.

The Chinese ambassador strongly condemned the Quetta bomb blast and condoled the loss of precious lives in the tragic incident.

Sun Weidong said that Chinese government and people stood by their Pakistani brethren in the war against terrorism. China also hails the Pakistan’s efforts for restoration of regional peace, he added.
